Computer Repair Warranty:


For Hardware:

MC² offers a 90 days warranty on labor, but only labor. If the component fails within those 90 days, this warranty DOES NOT cover replacing that part. The warranty DOES entitle you to have that exact part re-installed as long as it is within the 90 days of the original install. Now if a part fails within 90 days, unless it was purchased used, it’s almost certainly covered by the manufacturers warranty. You’ll want to contact them to have a replacement sent to you, at which time the installation can be done by MC². The odds of a new part failing within 90 days is extremely unlikely, but always keep your receipts.

Here is an example: You purchase part XYZ123 and it is installed. The part fails after 30 days. If you get a replacement XYZ123, it will be reinstalled and have 60 days remaining on the labor warranty. If you get a replacement XYZ1234, MC² is not obligated to re-install this part; this is due to potential compatibility issues.

For Software and Reinstalls:

If a software installation becomes corrupted, we will perform a repair and if necessary a total reinstall of the software or software suite for 30 days.

Since it’s too easy to reinfect a computer with a virus or Trojan, there’s no way a warranty can be offered on this. However, if you feel you are susceptible to getting infected by these attacks, the best (and cheapest) thing to do would be investing in the Failsafe plan. It’s not free, but way less expensive than any other alternative.
